LEED Certified Projects
We currently have 10 LEED projects that are targeting or have already received certification!
When We’re Not at Work: Rainwater Harvesting
We have staff members who harvest rainwater by collecting and storing it in barrels for later use in maintaining their yards and gardens.
This effort reduces water consumption and reduces the energy required to treat water runoff from lost rainwater!
LEED AP
We currently have 10 LEED accredited professionals, with a goal of 100% of our professional staff to be accredited in the near future! Knowledge is power!

Email Signature
As a standard at NPA, all our email signatures include the tag line “please consider the environment before printing this email”.
Our hope is that this is a friendly reminder to THINK before printing!

When We’re Not at Work: Composting
A few staff members compost their waste at home.
Did you know that your trash output reduces by more than 50% when you compost? It makes healthy soil for your garden & yard too!
(Plus, it makes the worms happy!)
When We’re Not at Work: Light Bulbs
We have replaced numerous light bulbs in our homes with compact fluorescents.
This saves energy AND money on our monthly electricity bills!
Lights off to us!
NO Styrofoam Policy
We discourage the use of Styrofoam (which currently cannot be recycled in our region). We have zero Styrofoam products in our office, and we ask all lunch and learn vendors to bring lunches from companies who do not use Styrofoam. If styrofoam finds its way into our office, we find a way to recycle it.
Green Cleaning Products
We use a green brand of cleaning products from Seventh Generation in our office.
Non toxic and creates cleaner air for the environment in which we work while respecting the earth!
When We’re Not at Work: Reusable Bags
We take canvas bags to shop!
Reduce your use of plastic!
Its easy!
And much easier to carry!
When We’re Not at Work: Low Flow Fixtures
We have switched fixtures in our home to low flow! Less water use and you’d never notice the difference!
Less water use = less monthly bill and preserving our natural resources!
