Matt Tindall Achieves Professional License
Neal Prince Architects is proud to announce that Matt Tindall, AIA, has achieved his Architectural Professional License. Matt received his Master’s of Architecture from Clemson University and has been working at NPA for the past three years.
At NPA, Matt serves in our Residential Architecture department. Perhaps his most significant project to date, Matt just finished with the Bishop Residence, a 10,000-sq. ft. home at The Reserve at Lake Keowee. “The site has a 300-degree view of the lake,” he says of the project. “You can enjoy a view of the water out of just about every window throughout the house.”
From everyone here at NPA, congrats, Matt!
Our Commitment To Green
Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Certification (commonly known as LEED) is a stringent process that requires an examination and ultimately an independent certification. Neal Prince Architects established a goal to have 100 percent of its architectural staff to be LEED Accredited Professionals by the end of 2010. At mid-year, we are at about 50 percent of our goal. Though we’ve long used environmentally-conscious materials and other “green” standards, we feel obtaining this independent distinction, company-wide, is essential, especially as architecture continues to move toward green and sustainable design.
“The whole concept of sustainability is prevalent in architecture. Accreditation is a confirmation that we are dedicated to sustainability,” says Scott May, Partner, President, AIA LEED AP, who was LEED accredited in 2001, making him the first at Neal Prince and fourth in South Carolina.
Currently, we have Silver and Gold projects in process. Check back to see photos and updates on how those are progressing.
